01
Effective date and scope
This Privacy Policy is effective from 1 September 2026 and applies to RUTSS website features, accounts, public scanning tools, stored reports, contact forms and newsletter services. Third-party websites have their own privacy practices.
02
Information you provide
RUTSS may process information you submit directly, including your name, email address, password hash, company, website, timezone, contact messages, newsletter subscription and URLs submitted for analysis.
03
Account information
Account details are used to authenticate users, maintain profiles, associate website projects with the correct user and provide access to private scan history. Passwords should be stored only as secure one-way hashes and are not readable as plain text.
04
Website scans
When you submit a URL, RUTSS processes the URL and publicly returned website information required for diagnostics. This can include response headers, redirect destinations, metadata, markup, security signals, timing information and other public technical evidence.
05
Saved reports
Reports may be stored so authenticated users can access scan history, compare changes and revisit evidence. Reports can include the submitted URL, scan time, findings, scores and technical response data.
06
Public website information
Website operators should avoid publishing personal or confidential information on public pages. RUTSS is intended to analyze public technical signals, but submitted websites may independently expose information in their content, markup or headers.
07
Contact requests
When you contact RUTSS, your name, email address, message and related correspondence may be retained to answer the request, investigate a problem, prevent abuse and maintain an appropriate support history.
08
Newsletter information
If you subscribe, your email address is used to manage the subscription and send occasional RUTSS updates. You may unsubscribe using an available unsubscribe method or by contacting RUTSS.
09
Technical and security logs
RUTSS may record timestamps, requested pages, diagnostic tools, submitted hostnames, response status, browser information and limited network identifiers. Logs support security monitoring, troubleshooting, rate limiting and abuse prevention.
10
Cookies
Essential cookies may be used for account sessions, CSRF protection, security, language preferences and short-lived notifications. Where supported, sensitive cookies should use Secure, HttpOnly and appropriate SameSite settings.
11
Analytics and measurement
RUTSS may use privacy-conscious analytics or server logs to understand feature usage, performance and errors. If optional analytics or advertising technologies are introduced, appropriate notice and consent controls should be provided where legally required.
12
How information is used
Information is used to operate scans, deliver reports, maintain accounts, respond to requests, improve reliability, prevent misuse, diagnose errors, enforce service terms and meet legitimate security or legal obligations.
13
Legal grounds
Depending on the user's location, processing may rely on performing a requested service, legitimate interests in operating and securing RUTSS, consent for optional communications, or compliance with applicable legal obligations.
14
Information sharing
RUTSS does not need to sell personal information to operate its standard scanner. Information may be shared with infrastructure, email, authentication or security providers only when reasonably necessary to deliver and protect the service.
15
Service providers
Hosting, storage, email-delivery, authentication, security and monitoring providers may process limited information on behalf of RUTSS. Providers should receive only the information necessary for their role and remain subject to appropriate safeguards.
16
Legal disclosure
Information may be disclosed when reasonably necessary to comply with valid legal process, protect users or the public, investigate abuse, enforce the Terms of Use or defend the rights and security of RUTSS.
17
International processing
Internet services and infrastructure providers may process information in different countries. Where required, RUTSS should use appropriate contractual, organizational or legal safeguards for international data transfers.
18
Retention
Information is retained only as long as reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was collected, including account operation, report history, security, dispute resolution and legal obligations. Different categories may have different retention periods.
19
Security
RUTSS uses reasonable technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the service, including access controls, password hashing, request validation and network restrictions. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.
20
Your privacy choices
Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or export of personal information, or object to certain processing. Identity verification may be required before a request is completed.
21
Account and report deletion
Users may request deletion of account information and stored reports, subject to information that must be retained temporarily for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution or legal compliance.
22
Children
RUTSS is a professional website-diagnostics service and is not directed to children. Users should not knowingly submit personal information belonging to a child through scans, forms or account profiles.
23
External links
RUTSS may link to documentation, search engines, social platforms or other external services. Their privacy policies and security practices apply when you visit them.
24
Policy updates
This policy may be updated when RUTSS changes its services, providers or legal practices. Material revisions will be reflected by updating the effective date and, where appropriate, providing additional notice.
